Sagging Pants Lands Two in Jail

FOW

I love how this outfit came together! I’ve been dying to wear this dress, but I wasn’t sure how I wanted to take it on. So, I just went with it. I actually forgot I had these heels, but found them when trying on other camel colored heels. I chose these because I thought it complimented the colors and vertical stripes in the dress. I didn’t plan on doing my hair like this, but it worked well with my outfit. So, I was definitely happy about that. The earrings remind me of something I’d see from an earlier era, which is why I decided to wear them. I was trying to do an older-style look, and I think I captured it without looking to outdated.

Charming Charlie

This past weekend was Tax Free Weekend in Florida. Needless to say, I was out looking for bargains and things I could add to my wardrobe.

Now, I’ve shopped at Charming Charlie on a few occasions before. This time was different. I actually took the time to walk around and look at everything they had to offer. If you’ve never been in Charming Charlie before, the accessories are arranged by color. It makes shopping so much easier, trust me! They not only sell jewelry, but they also sell purses, clutches, belts, shoes, scarves and more.

During my visit on Saturday, I learned that they were having a 50% off sale. While they normally have a clearance section, they also marked down different items throughout the store. I was in there forever! I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss anything, and I don’t believe I did (at least for me).

I ended up with three chic clutches and a very cute necklace. Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love accessories. I think for many outfits, it’s one of thee most important pieces. An accessory can either make or break an outfit.

There are a few things to keep in mind about accessories. Too many accessories can definitely ruin an outfit. I’ve witnessed this and have also been a culprit of it in the past. For instance, if you’re wearing chandelier earrings that touch your shoulder, a bulky necklace, bracelets on both arms, a ring and a clutch, you’re doing too much. Too little accessories can turn an otherwise awesome outfit into something that is just blah. Don’t get me wrong though, some outfits can be outstanding without any major accessories. When choosing an accessory, look for something that compliments your outfit. It doesn’t necessarily have to match perfectly, but it shouldn’t look like it just fell out the sky and on to your neck, wrist, finger or ears. I, for one, like to pair a textured clutch with a solid color dress or top.

With that said, I have to recommend shopping at Charming Charlie for your accessories. I’d be quite surprised if they don’t have what you’re looking for. They sell accessories for all occasions and cover all colors and styles. More importantly, their clearance section is well-organized and nicely priced. It’s not a junk corner like at several other accessory stores. I will add that some of Charming Charlie accessories are a bit pricey, but for the most part, they have pretty decent prices for their quality items.
